Nick Reade is the Chief Executive of the Royal Automobile Association of South Australia (RAA), joining the organization in August 2022 as just the sixth leader in its nearly 120-year history. Nick leads an Executive team with a strong commitment to gender balance, currently represented by five women and six men, reflecting RAA’s dedication to inclusion and diversity throughout the organization.
With a career spanning over 30 years across business, government, and financial services, Nick has a wealth of experience. Before joining RAA, he served as Chief Executive of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, leading South Australia’s public sector. Previously, he was CEO of BankSA and held senior leadership roles at Westpac, including State General Manager for South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.
A proud South Australian, Nick is passionate about improving the lives of RAA members and shaping a better future for the State. He is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone belongs, championing innovation, and driving collaboration between business, government, and the community. An alumnus of the University of South Australia and INSEAD in Paris, Nick is recognized for his expertise in digital transformation, team leadership, and strategy development.
