Five years ago, after five years of solo freelancing, I decided to create a consultancy where I could grow a team and work with great people again. I was feeling burned out and wanted to build something that was meaningful and added value to Australian businesses. However, I knew I couldn't do it alone.

That's when I went on the hunt for someone who shared the same vision and values as me but had complementary skills, and I found Daniel Franco. I'm grateful to have him by my side for the past 5 years.

In our short time together, Dan and I have been through a lot. We've made hiring mistakes, almost went out of business during a global pandemic, had an employee defraud us, and have struggled to find work-life balance. But we've also had some amazing successes. We survived a global pandemic, had team members rave about our business on social media, doubled the business every year since the global pandemic, hired some very experienced people in the past 12 months, worked with some of the biggest brands in Australia, had lots of fun and laughs, and best of all, have grown an amazing team at Synergy IQ.

As the co-founder of Synergy IQ, it’s easy to focus on the challenges we faced, but when I look back on the past few years, I realise how grateful I am for the team of brilliant, creative, adventurous, and caring people who I get to work with every day. They make the bad stuff disappear, and it's been an incredible experience to work with them.

We set out to build a company that was an employer of choice for people enabling change, and we wanted to work with amazing people. I'm happy to say that we've achieved that goal. Every person on our team is someone I'm eternally grateful for and adore working with.

As we celebrate our 5-year milestone at Synergy IQ, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey. We couldn't have achieved what we have without the support of our team, clients, and partners. I'm excited to see what the next 5 years will bring and look forward to continuing our mission of enabling positive change for Australian businesses.
